- Your Letters.....
-
-
-
- Dear Daz,
-
- Great to read a disk based Mag dedicated to the A1200, and well
- done for being the first to do so.
- In reply to some of your requests stated in your mag, I have enclosed a
- disk containing 3 pieces of my AGA Art for inclusion in your mag if you
- think they are up to standard.
- To a different subject, you'll probably find that you will have to make
- the Mag 2 Disks if you start putting AGA Art on, because of the amount of
- space some pictures will take up, but Hey, that's just my opinion.
- On listening to the music you put on the first Issue, I hope you don't
- fall into the trap other mags have and think all Amiga users love listening
- to Techno/Rave music.
- I realise it was your first Issue and you were probably a bit scarce for
- music but anyone (Well nearly) can spend 5 minutes on Pro-Tracker, and
- produce a decent Rave/Techno piece.
- I've found lately that Amiga music has gone drastically down hill, most
- game music now seems to be all Techno/Rave cr*p. Do you remember when
- Amiga games music was good, what about "HOOK". Personally I thought the
- music was superb, soooooo atmospheric, crystal clear piano samples. You
- would be hard pressed to find music of that quality on an Amiga game
- nowadays. Hopefully now we have the luxury of 2Mb chip Ram the music
- will improve, longer samples, clearer sound. It takes real talent and
- imagination to produce music that's worth listening to, not may I add,
- music that only sounds good if you've had 10 pints or are high on a drug.
- Lets hope some of your readers start sending in music that has had some
- thought and time put into it. I'm no Mozart but then again most of the
- composers of both game music and PD music are not either, they just
- THINK they are.
- Well now I've got that off my chest, Ill sign off. The best of luck
- with your new magazine it deserves to succeed, I for one will be 100%
- behind it, and try and continue to send in contributions.
- I look forward to the next Issue.

- Thanks for your "short" letter Paul, and thanks for you AGA Art, some
- of which you will find on this Issue!
- As for the Music side of things, On the whole you are quite right about
- the style of music not being to everyones taste, but as for the music
- being scarce, I have at least eight disks FULL of Modules, but ALL of
- these are Rave/Techno! So what choice do I have ?!?!
- If any of you out there have written some "decent" tunes, get them in to
- me, and I'll see if I can fit them on the next Issue of the Mag!
- As for game music, you are quite right in what you say, But take a look at
- some of the adventure type games like ELVIRA and WAXWORKS, These games
- have some of the most atmospheric tunes that I have ever had the pleasure
- of listening to !

- Dear Mr.Busby
-
- What can I say, but THANKS!, what for you may ask, but
- for the Rather good A1200 disk magazine that you call CHANNEL Z !!!!
- I have'nt had my AMIGA for long and I was looking through one of the AMIGA
- magazines when I saw a review of your disk magazine, so I ordered it
- promptly and a few days later I received my first Issue of your magazine!
- (although it was Issue 2 !)
- I'm glad that you don't make things sound to technical for all us newcomers
- as we would'nt have a clue what you'd be talking about!
- I noted the offer of the next Issue for only £2.00 so I have enclosed a
- postal order for the said amount and look forward to getting it in January!
- When I bought my AMIGA, I got the Paint Package called Deluxe Paint 4
- free with it, but am finding it hard to get too grips with it, is there any
- chance of a tutorial for this Paint Package?
- Must go now (I'm going out to buy some games!)
-
- CHEERS!

-
-
- Thanks for the letter Tony, as you've probably noticed there are 2 tutorials
- on these disks for Deluxe Paint 4 AGA which is the version that you will
- have, as for the diskmag not being technical, I try my best not to get too
- carried away whith long words and computer babble, I used to hate it too!

-
- Dear Daz,
- First of all let me just say thanks for proucing CHANNEL Z, it
- was well worth waiting for! OK creeping over!
- Just a short note to add a few suggestions to you, How about the Mag on
- TWO disks, this way you could add MORE pictures that show off the true
- potential of the AMIGA 1200, or if there is a really good PD AGA demo,
- you could put it on the second disk and give us some descriptions of the
- effects created by it on the other disk.
- I hope you consider these ideas, as CHANNEL Z *NEEDS* to survive!
- Also please find enclosed £2.00 for the next Issue and a disk with my
- "CHANNEL Z LOGO" for your Competition.
-
- Thanks again

- I liked your ideas for CHANNEL Z (and everyone else who sent the
- same type of letter in) so much that CHANNEL Z will now always be on
- TWO disks and only cost £2.00! Thanks for your entry for the competition,
- look out for the next Issue to see if you've won ! ! !
